Global Travel Safety Association (GtSA) is a non-governmental, membership enterprise established to improve the business and personal safety of non-military travelers on the ground, sea and air prior to, during and while away from home. Our mission is to offer information and tools to identify and mitigate threats and risks that could arise from travel. GtSA aims to help forward plan and prepare members while away from home.
GtSA is primarily funded through membership dues and advertising fees. We also receive donations from members and businesses. We welcome travel passengers and those assisting them as members. This would include corporate tourism organizations, as well as governmental, diplomatic, NGO's, clubs, schools, universities, benevolent organizations, and leisure travel arrangers / agents.
GtSA provides travel assistance for managing claims. You need to signup for a referred travel insurance plan which will provide coverage during your travels.
In the event of a life threatening emergency always call the emergency services (EMS) number available in the locality where the emergency is happening. Don't delay, seconds make a huge difference and can save a life. Alert your emergency contacts about your emergency and ask them to contact your local EMS. We are happy to assist after you or an emergency contact set of an alarm to EMS. We are not first responders. Our services are limited to help prepare you in advance of a travel related emergency and then to "connect" with your assistance provider once you've set off the alarm.
We and our TRM and insurer partners are committed to help you be prepared for and arranging a plan in advance of a critical event for the best outcome for your the safety and security and having police, fire & rescue, and related emergency medical responders to do their job.
We work to prepare our members for critical events that emerge while away from home either for business or leisure travel through risk / threat awareness, webinars, newsletters, advocacy, education, and sale of protective services and products. We encourage all members to have an emergency plan in place.
